Testimonials

Before I started counseling with Beatrice, my life was filled with so many difficulties and challenges. My family situation is very complex. We have three adopted children; all three of them from different families of origin, and two of our kids have special needs. We also have two homes, due to the fact that I am the bread winner and my office is located in NYC, yet our children’s support systems and special needs schools are in central Connecticut. Communication and decision making had become difficult and my husband and I were caught in a deadlock. There were so many issues, it was often hard to focus and make sense of it all. We were struggling with a long list of real life changing decisions such as, where to live, how to run the household, how to manage the budget, how to raise the kids, and how to address the special needs for our children.

Beatrice met with me and my husband and helped us learn to listen to each other, taught us tools to truly understand what the other meant to say, how to identify and express our thoughts and feelings, and how to set priorities. When necessary, she also included our children in the conversation. With Beatrice on our side, we have since made multiple decisions that work well for all of us, and our overall communication style has improved immensely.

I have continued individual counseling with Beatrice, and she has helped me begin to isolate and unravel so many of the areas I had previously wrestled with and worked around.

I highly recommend Beatrice for her caring nature, strength, intelligence, wit, straight-forwardness, and wisdom. Beatrice is highly qualified to work with individuals, families and couples alike. I’m fortunate to have found her.

Beatrice has been an invaluable resource to me over the past couple of years. Her insight into human nature and interpersonal relationships has eased my transition into my new adult relationship with my own parents. She understands the fluidity of the parent/child relationship and that new tools are necessary at different junctures of said relationship. She has an uncanny ability to read people and the situation at hand, which allows her to pull on the existing strengths and weaknesses of her clients and assist them to move forward in the most optimum way possible. While always professional, she is also caring as to the needs and situation of her client, making her a comfortable resource to work with. I know that she will continue to be a treasured coach to me as my family continues to change and one day, grow.
